At City Academy Birmingham we run a two year key stage 3 programme.  This prepares students for the GCSE syllabus by looking at the fundamentals of the topics below.

At City Academy Birmingham we run two science GCSE courses, both of which are three year courses running from Year 9 to Year 11:

  1. Combined science – This is the most popular course in which pupils complete the course with two science GCSE’s
  2. Separate sciences – Pupils complete the course with a separate GCSE in Biology, Chemistry and Physics. Separate sciences follow the course outline below in addition to extra Biology, Chemistry and Physics modules.
